The Liberia Revenue Authority has honored 46 of Liberia’s leading taxpayers, businesses, institutions, and development partners after the country recorded its highest domestic revenue performance in history, highlighting what officials described as the growing impact of tax compliance on national development.
The recognition came during the Authority’s annual Taxpayers Appreciation Awards Dinner held at Paynesville City Hall, where taxpayers were celebrated for timely payments, consistent compliance, and significant contributions to national revenue mobilization during Fiscal Years 2024 and 2025.
Among the night’s biggest winners, Orange Liberia captured the Gold Award as Liberia’s highest overall tax contributor. Monrovia Breweries Inc. secured second place, while ArcelorMittal Liberia claimed third.
In other key categories, Firestone Liberia LLC emerged as the highest contributor in Real Property Tax, while Orange Liberia also topped the Large Tax Division.
ArcelorMittal Liberia was recognized as the highest contributor in the Natural Resource Tax Sector, while WBHO SC Limited led the Medium Tax Division and Force Security Enterprise took top honors in the Small Tax Division.

The awards also highlighted institutions making strong tax contributions, with African Methodist Episcopal University named the highest remitter among educational institutions, while The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints received recognition as the highest remitter among religious institutions.
In customs and trade-related categories, Fouani Brothers Corporation earned first place as highest general merchandise contributor, while Conex Petroleum Service emerged as the highest petroleum contributor.
Providence Clearing and Forwarding Services was recognized as the customs broker with the highest number of compliant taxpayers.
In the financial sector, Ecobank Liberia Limited received the award for the highest tax amount collected by a banking institution, while Lone Star MTN Mobile Money led the mobile money category.
Government institutions were also recognized, with the Ministry of Mines and Energy named the highest tax-contributing ministry, while the Liberia Maritime Authority received the award as highest PIT SOE remitter.
Speaking at the ceremony, James Dorbor Jallah praised taxpayers, traders, and development partners for helping Liberia achieve record-breaking domestic revenue collections for two consecutive years.
He disclosed that Liberia exceeded its 2025 domestic revenue target of US$804 million, marking the highest domestic revenue mobilization in the country’s history.
According to him, domestic revenue has grown by US$273 million over the last two years; surpassing the combined growth recorded during the previous thirteen years.
“Liberia is rising, and she is rising on the shoulders of her taxpayers,” Jallah declared.
He reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to widening the tax base, expanding digital services, simplifying compliance processes, and intensifying efforts against tax evasion.
Also speaking at the event, Prince Kermue Moye, Senator of Bong County and Chair of the Senate Committee on Ways, Means, Finance and Budget, commended the revenue authority for recognizing compliant taxpayers and urged Liberians to continue honoring their tax obligations as a means of supporting national development.
Held under the theme “From Vision to Reality: Taxpayers Delivering a Billion Dollar Budget,” the event brought together taxpayers, government officials, development partners, and members of the public.
This year’s month-long Taxpayer Appreciation celebrations included donations to the Duport Road Health Center, Student Tax Day activities, quiz competitions, tax education roadshows, county outreach programs, the awards dinner, and upcoming sporting and entertainment events.
Launched in 2017, the Liberia Revenue Authority’s annual Taxpayer Appreciation Awards program aims to recognize compliant taxpayers, encourage voluntary compliance, and promote greater public participation in national development through taxation.
