In a dynamic push to bolster transparency and fight corruption, the National Integrity Forum (NIF) led a spirited community engagement on Friday at the E. Jonathan Goodridge Memorial High School Auditorium in Barnesville Estate, Montserrado County.
The outreach event attracted around 50 participants from diverse backgrounds, including youths, women, men, media professionals, and individuals with disabilities. The forum aimed to raise awareness on anti-corruption principles and amplify the NIF’s message within the community.
The session saw active involvement from key government and non-governmental organizations, such as the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL), Accountability Lab, the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA), Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC), the Internal Audit Agency, and several others committed to fighting corruption and promoting good governance.
Jeffery N. Yates, Chairman of the Steering Committee at the Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (LEITI), urged the participants to become proactive agents in the anti-corruption movement. He emphasized the importance of working alongside the NIF to educate and mobilize their communities against corruption.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Josephine Chelly, Technical Committee Chairperson of NIF, encouraged attendees to take an active role in reporting corruption. She stressed the need for local leadership to continue the momentum of the campaign, with the goal of creating a Liberia free from corruption.
