BanaBridge CEO launches Tech Podcast
In a major move to bridge the digital divide and empower everyday internet users across Africa and the diaspora, Georgian Yoade Cooper, CEO of BanaBridge LLC, has officially launched a new video series titled “Digital Tools & Tech Tips.” The show, which premiered its first episode on August 5, is designed to spotlight free, easy-to-use websites and apps that can simplify digital tasks for creators, students, small business owners, and tech newcomers.
The initiative is part of BanaBridge’s broader mission to “connect Africa to the world — one story at a time,” with a growing focus on tech literacy, digital empowerment, and innovation.
“This series is about breaking down the wall between people and the technology that can change their lives,” Georgian said in the launch announcement. “We want our audience, especially young people and small business owners; to realize how much they can accomplish online with just the right tools.”
In Episode 1, Georgian introduces viewers to three powerful (and completely free) digital platforms:
- Remove.bg – a tool that instantly removes backgrounds from photos with a single click,
- TinyWow.com – an all-in-one platform for file conversion, editing, and compression, and
- Photopea.com – a web-based alternative to Photoshop with professional-grade editing capabilities.
The series is available across multiple platforms including Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter) under the handle @BanaBridgeNews, and aims to release new episodes regularly.
According to BanaBridge insiders, upcoming episodes will cover topics like digital privacy, smart search tools, and content creation hacks; with a focus on accessibility and real-world application.
A CEO in the Spotlight
Georgian Yoade Cooper, daughter of veteran journalist Emmanuel O. Cooper, has quickly emerged as one of Liberia’s most promising young IT cum media entrepreneurs. Under her leadership, BanaBridge has expanded into a multi-branch ecosystem with platforms for news, entertainment, e-commerce, and digital training; including the upcoming BanaBridge Film Academy.
The Digital Tools & Tech Tips series marks Georgian’s first on-camera educational segment and signals the company’s growing investment in media that both informs and equips viewers.
A Vision for Digital Inclusion
With internet access expanding across West Africa, initiatives like these are crucial to helping users unlock the full potential of the web. Georgian believes that access alone is not enough; people need guidance, tools, and digital confidence.
“Our goal at BanaBridge is not just to build platforms; it’s to build people,” she emphasized. “Tech isn’t just for coders or developers. It’s for market women, students, journalists; anyone with a phone and a dream.”
